Does engraving wear off?

In printing, the ink or paint lies on the surface. That's why it wears out, scratches, and fades in the dishwasher over time. There is no such layer in engraving. The CO2 laser focuses the beam on the surface of the material and removes the text at the micron level. What emerges is not a substance added to the surface, but a trace opened on the surface itself.

Since there is no layer to be deleted, there is no possibility of deletion.

What this means in practice is that you can easily throw the glass into the dishwasher. You can carry the lighter in your pocket for years. The text remains as it was on the first day.

Glass, metal, wood — how does it look?

The result is clean on all three surfaces, but since each one reflects the light differently, their appearance is not the same.

• Glass. In whisky and raki glasses. The text appears clearly even when blank. Due to the transparency of the glass, visibility varies slightly depending on the background; The engraving becomes even more visible when a colored drink is poured in.
• Metal. In products such as lighters and cigarette cases. On metal, the trace appears sharper and more contrasted; Since these are the products that wear out the most in daily use, this is where the permanence is most visible.
• Wood. In boxes and wooden details. The laser darkens the wood by burning it, meaning the colour is the colour of the material itself — there is no dye that will fade later.

I wrote the name wrong, what happens?

There is no problem on the technical side. The problem almost always happens in the text: the name entered in the order is written incorrectly. One letter less, one more hat, two names combined.

We silently fix any obvious errors we see. But in order to fix it, we need to notice the mistake: It is not known from the outside whether it is “Elif” or “Elıf”, “Berkay” or “Birkay”.

If you notice, write to us. If the product is not yet in production, changing it is not a problem. Even if he enters, we do not close the door — we do our best, we try not to offend the customer.

However, let's be clear: a product with a name written on it cannot be sold to anyone else, and there is no right of withdrawal for these products in accordance with the legislation. How many days will my order be ready?

The engraving itself is what determines the preparation time. The laser does two different jobs. In Cutting, the beam follows a single line; It is fast because it only moves along one path. In scanning, the beam passes through an area, line by line, from beginning to end — just like a printer scanning paper.

Engraving is a scanning job. The larger the area covered by the text, the more lines the laser must pass. A long message takes many times longer than a short name. The most time-consuming part of an order is almost always scanning.

Despite this, most of the orders are ready within 24 hours. Delivery may sometimes be delayed until the next day; Afterwards, delivery throughout Turkey usually takes 1-3 business days.
